    Day 1 1 Fly non-stop from Seattle to Anchorage. After transferring to Grant Aviation for a 20-minute flight to Kenai, pickup a full-size rental car and check into your private entrance and bath lodging at Tanglewood B&B on the Kenai River. Your room with a fantastic view has a private entrance and bath.

    Tour the City of Kenai and Visit the Holy
    Assumption Russian Orthodox Church,
    which will provide tours upon request for
    donations. Please be generous as your
    dollars help preserve this
    historical Russian/Alaskan architecture.

    Two blocks from the church you will find the Kenai Convention
    and Visitors Center; hosting an exceptional Alaska museum and art gallery.
    In the same area you will find Ft. Kenai one of the first army forts in Alaska
    and now a Kenaitze Indian Tribe facility. In the afternoon take a
    twenty-minute drive north to Captain Cook State Park. You will find a
    mesmerizing view of the three active volcanoes on the west side of
    Cook Inlet – Illiamna, Spur and Redoubt. Take a walk on the beach and
    dream of our Captain Cook who later went on to
    “discover” the Sandwich Islands of Hawaii, and meeting his untimely end.

    Alaska West Air for your Flight west across Cook Inlet to
    the base of the Alaska Range. Fishing area is located where
    a small stream flows into a large lake. Water is usually very c
    clear and the fish can be seen in large schools close to shore.
    This trip is a favorite not only for the great fishing, but it is an
    excellent place to view brown bear. Sightseeing enroute is
    great for brown bear, moose, seals, etc. The flight is about
    25 minutes each way. Limit is 3 fish per person, per day
    .
  • Day 4 BigRedoubt.jpgToday you will move further south on the peninsula an relax in your vacation rental home at Ninilcik. This house on the bluff over looking Cook Inlet has a view to die for. From the living room and deck you can see the splendor of the Inlet as the fishing fleet passes and three active Volcano’s on the horizon

  • Day 5 lookingatbirds200b.jpgTake a short 20 Minute drive south to Homer Alaska. The site of dozens of Eagles pitched at the end of the Homer Spit will require extra film for your camera. Visit Islands & Ocean Visitor Center, your window to the largest seabird refuge in the world with all of the natural wonders of Kachemak Bay right outside its door. Both Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge and the Kachemak Bay Research Reserve have made a commitment to inform and educate the public about the natural treasures in the Refuge and the Reserve. Then Kachemak Bay invites exploration. Whether you are interested in spectacular views of snow-capped mountains and hidden fjords or up-close chances to observe sea otters or other wildlife, Kachemak Bay Tour is for you, it is perfect for a natural history buff or photographer as well as Sea Bird lovers. Remember what you’ve learned here because tomorrow you will be Kayaking in Kachemak Bay.

The half day AM and PM trips are excellent for those short on time or tentative about trying kayaking. Our diverse day trip winds its way through two spectacular bays rich in wildlife. The Full day trip is truly quality kayaking. Our professional guides have introduced kayaking in a safe, fun, and comfortable manner to thousands. Wildlife is everywhere on this Peterson Bay experience but the overwhelming beauty of nature is a memory that willl stay with you forever.

  • Day 7Ninilchik-fishing-211.jpgRelax today and prepare to step back into your reality this evening. You may choose to spend the day beach combing or shopping in the Ninilchic Village stores. Then make your way north to Kenai for your flight home.
